What is it about procrastinating that makes us think we can only start working exactly on the hour? It’ll be 2:05 and suddenly starting now is completely out of the question. Obviously we have to wait until 3:00. Never mind that there are 55 perfectly usable minutes sitting right there. And then 3:03 rolls around because we got distracted, so naturally we’ve missed our chance again. Guess we’ll try again at 4:00. This system makes absolutely no sense, yet somehow we keep doing it.

There is nothing worse than procrastinating something because you’ll “do it later” and then later actually shows up. Excuse us, we didn’t think we’d get this far. Suddenly the thing you happily ignored six hours ago is still waiting for you, except now you have less time, less energy, and absolutely no idea why past you thought this was a good plan. Unfortunately, you can only pass the problem along to future you for so long before you become future you.

Someone give it to us
via @nowthatsfunny1_ -
If anyone has some extra strength or motivation lying around and wants to lend it to us, we will gladly take it. We have things to do, we know they need to get done, and yet somehow that knowledge is doing absolutely nothing to help us start. Maybe we just need someone to send over a little productivity and enough energy to make it through the to-do list. At this point, we’re accepting donations. Please and thank you.
